the BAmbini learning group

Bambini Learning Group is much more than day care and out of school care. We are a community of learning and support. This is not only a space for children, but also a space for families – children and adults alike – to spend time, to get involved, to learn and to grow together. Our beautiful centers offer quality full-time education and care for children aged 12 months to 12 years of age, within fully accredited programs. We have 8 separate classrooms to better cater for the needs of children’s different ages and stages of development.

The cornerstone of our experience, based on practice, theory, and research, is the image of the child as rich, strong, and powerful. The emphasis is placed on seeing the children as unique subjects with rights rather than simply needs. They have potential, plasticity, the desire to grow, curiosity, the ability to be amazed, and the desire to relate to other people and to communicate.

bringing childhood back

Our mission is to bring childhood back. We want children to experience play and the joy of discovery away from the chaos, the busyness of everyday life and the pressure to perform. Our Bambini centers are a safe haven where you and your family can slow down and experience joy.

 Reggio inspired

Bambini is 100% Reggio inspired. We see children and families through holistic lenses, considering body, mind and spirit. Our aim is to develop confident, self-motivated and resourceful life-long learners who have the ability and resilience to respond positively to the most adverse challenges in life. We nurture young people to care about the people around them, and to become citizens who are willing and committed to make a positive contribution to society.

how do we teach

Being a Reggio-Inspired centre, we work with an emergent curriculum for infants and young toddlers, and a ‘Project Approach’ for older children. This means that educators follow children’s interests as they choose a topic that they believe is worth investigating. Children take the lead of their own learning, observing, thinking critically and problem-solving as they develop theories and understanding about the world around them. Educators facilitate children’s learning by positioning and offering resources that will instigate investigation, by asking open-ended questions that will entice deep-thinking, and by organizing field-trips and visits from experts.

Loose Parts & Open-Ended Play

Loose parts and open-ended resources are an essential part of our program. Amongst the many proven benefits of loose parts and open-ended play, is the potential to enhance children’s creativity and higher levels of thinking through the limitless possibilities offered by these materials.

what will your child learn here?

At Bambini, children learn how to learn. Our distinct approach to education allows children to develop a passion and motivation for learning. Literacy and numeracy occur naturally through the daily program. Children become self-motivated, competent learners and investigators, developing dispositions such as inquisitiveness, persistence, determination, flexibility and many other skills and strategies that will enable them to learn and overcome difficulties through any age and stage in their lives.

Communication

Educators communicate with families on a daily basis, discussing their children’s current interests, learning and development. An specialized educational App is used to send messages and for sharing photos of children’s play and exploration throughout the day. So, even though parents may not be physically close to their children during the day, they can still feel connected and be aware of what children have been up to.

Workshops, Services & Support

Bambini is not only a daycare. We are a learning group. We offer workshops for parents and early childhood professionals, as well as a variety of services and supports for families. This is an ever evolving area of practice, so check our website, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram regularly for updates on current and upcoming events and support services.

Food & Nutrition

Our early learning centres offer morning snack, lunch and afternoon snack. The menus are revised by a professional nutritionist to ensure that children are getting all the nutrient they need in order to grow and develop to their full potential, and the meals prepared by an on-site cook.
